'Ark. court says damages awarded too high in car dealer fraud case (KFSM Ft. Smith-Fayetteville)
LITTLE ROCK (AP) - The Arkansas Court of Appeals says punitive damages awarded to a pickup-truck buyer were too high, and cut the figure back by 60%. But the court agreed with the jury that a Fort Smith car dealer did in fact defraud a customer when it sold him a "new" truck with 3,000 miles on it, for more than $4,000 above the sticker price.
